Faster Pussycat |

Faster Pussycat, came out during the Sleaze
Glam revival of the late 80’s. Faster Pussycat released their first album in 1987 which contained
tracks such as “Babylon” & “Cathouse” (Also
the name of a club Tamie Downe co-owned with Riki Ratchman). Their second album Wake Me When It's Over went gold in 1989, and the band had a
Top 40 hit with "House of Pain". .. the band would later release Whipped!,
which didn't go over too well with their core fanbase which was strange... as Faster Pussycat
returned to their sleazier Rock N' Roll roots with their 3rd album Whipped!.. the album sounded
Aerosmith & Rolling Stones influenced..
Faster Pussycat split soon after and singer Taime Downe formed
the Industrial Rock outfit The Newlydeads. Faster Pussycat reformed in the 2000’s to tour and Downe
remixed FP classics for the disc “Between The Valley Of The Ultra Pussy”. In 2005 Eric
Griffin of the Murderdolls toured as the bands guitarist, while Brent
Muscat allegedly went back to school. A new Faster Pussycat release is
on the horizon..
